Due to legislation changes to Maternal Birth Injury read codes on September 26, 2022 we are required to release an urgent, unscheduled patch to ensure your Gensolve Practice Manager remains compliant with ACC requirements.
The patch will include changes that will allow you to seamlessly manage the new Maternal Birth Injury billing requirements, as well as number of other updates.
Maternal Birth Injury
How to set up:
Allied Health Services Physiotherapists who are registered with ACC for Maternal Birth Injury services, can link this as a Contract Type in Gensolve under their Provider Contract Settings.
Billing the MBI Bill Codes to ACC is by including them in a Schedule Invoice in the usual way via the API method.
Administration > Clinicians: Add a new row under the Provider Contract Settings.
Then, select ‘Physio Maternal Birth Injuries’ in the ACC Contract drop down within the appointment.
Reporting
When running the Contract Site Payment Report, you now have the option to export to Excel. Additional fields have been made available including: Debtor name, Claim Number, Purchase order Number , NHI, Date of Injury, and Date of birth
When running the Discharge Report, there is now an option to save the report as an Upload File against the Client.
Accounting
The ACC Claim Review screen has been updated to allow for the inclusion of extra fields. A
A fix has been applied to ensure that the current Provider Number at the time of appointment applies to receipts, as set up against the Provider’s details screen.
BCTI bank details have been corrected to show the Creditors Bank, Account Name and Account Number.
Letter Templates
Work Intensity and Goal Achieved tags have been added to Condition and Condition Exam Letter Template types for use in Letters and Template Merge.
Emailing
When showing an email, if exactly one template exists to choose, then choose it and populate the body. When 2 or more exist to choose, pick the explicitly selected template if there is one, otherwise pick any template marked as a default, and populate the body.
The patch will occur on the evening of Friday, 30th September 2022. Please note your Gensolve may have disruptions from 9:30pm while we apply necessary updates.
Our regularly scheduled release of Gensolve 7.12 will still occur in the coming weeks as planned and will include features such as but not limited to:
- View and edit Web Form Entries sent but not yet completed
- Book Classes for Custom Contracts
- Store Referred By details on a Contract
- Specify Companies that should always show as Email Suggestions
- Enable Email suggestions from Prescription Reports
