ACC has advised us of some important changes coming to some contracts as of 1st November 2021. Gensolve is working hard to ensure that these changes are reflected in your software by 1 November in line with ACC’s timeline.
“The current ACC Physiotherapy Contract (which was formerly known as EPN) is due to expire on 31 October 2021. ACC have confirmed that the new contract will cover all existing allied health contracts – physiotherapy, physiotherapy specialists, hand therapy and podiatry … Any businesses currently working on the Physiotherapy Contract should have applied for the new Allied Health Contract.” – Physiotherapy New Zealand
As we implement the changes to the contracts below by 1st November you can take some quick preparatory measures to ensure you are also ready for the new contracts.
If you are changing your contract you will need to update your contract settings under Administration > Clinicians:
If you are moving to the Allied Health Services Contract:
If you are a Physiotherapist, Hand Therapist or Podiatrist
- Put an end date of 31/10/2021 on you current contract
- Create a new Contract row starting on 01/11/2021 and select EPN as the contract Type with your new contract numbers
(We will be automatically updating the EPN setting to be the Allied Health Contract for you as part of our update this weekend).
If you are a Physio Specialist
- Put an end date of 31/10/2021 on you current contract
- Create a new Contract row starting on 01/11/2021 and select Physio Specialist as the contract Type with your new contract numbers
(We will be automatically updating the EPN setting to be the Allied Health Contract for you as part of our update this weekend).
If you are moving to a Regulation Contract:
- Put and end date of 31/10/2021 on your current contract
- Create a new Contract row starting on 01/11/2021 and select Regulation as the contract Type with your new contract numbers
Some common questions about these contract changes:
What happens to the treatment numbers of a current claim after 1st November?
Treatment numbers are reset on the 1st of November. This means that for new Allied Health Contracts, the client will have a new allowance of 50 treatments regardless of any prior treatments. For new Regulations contracts this will be 16 treatments.
What about Claim Reviews?
Claim Reviews will be due based on the number of appointments that have occurred from the start of the new contract from the 1st of November.
Gensolve will take this into account in the Claim Review area which will mean that you probably won’t see any ‘Due Claim Reviews’ for a while after the 1st November.
Please check out our Claim Reviews help pages to see where the Claim Reviews are managed in GPM. Billing will automatically flow through to your schedules. See the support pages for more info.
Can I invoice ACC after the 1st of November for appts that occurred prior to November?
Yes, all appointments prior to the 1st of November can be billed to ACC after the changeover date.
Gensolve will use the correct contract details that were valid on the date of the appointment.
ACC won’t accept invoices that contain more than one contract type, but Gensolve will automatically separate the schedules for you.
