The release will occur for Gensolve Practice Manager on the evening of Friday, the 12th of September 2025. Please note your Gensolve may have disruptions from 9:30pm while we apply necessary updates.

Expanded AI Control for Medical Notes

This release introduces a major step forward in how clinicians interact with AI-generated Medical Notes. Building on previous versions, users now have complete control over their AI prompts: field by field, form by form.

You can now:

  • Define custom prompts for any section of a medical note (e.g., Subjective, Objective, Treatment plans) across different assessment types like SOAPER, SOTAP, GP, or Custom Templates.
  • Set field-specific behaviour: Choose how each field handles content—ignore, replace, append, or fill only if blank.
  • Control tone and formatting per field, such as writing in bullet points, another language, or using a specific clinical voice.
  • Link objective prompts to subjective ones, so your AI-generated note intelligently reflects the correct clinical context (e.g., a note referencing both ankle and thumb injuries will adapt accordingly).
  • Fallback support: If custom prompts aren’t configured or required, the system will default to standard prompts ensuring uninterrupted workflows.

The flexibility means clinicians can now tailor their AI-generated content as deeply or as lightly as needed, aligning it with personal documentation styles or clinic-wide standards.

Refer to the full release notes for more detail on the AI feature set.

We continue to improve and add to our AI functionality and welcome any and all feedback and suggestions so we know we are building what’s most important into your Gensolve.

Commission Templates: Easier Management with Parent Templates

We’ve made managing commission structures simpler and more scalable. You can now create a Parent Commission Template to define a standard set of commission items and rates. This Parent Template can then be applied across multiple Child Templates, making it easy to update once and apply everywhere.

This is especially useful for larger groups or organisations that share a consistent commission framework. Update once, apply many times, and streamline your admin in the process.

Medical Notes: Text Expansion

The General Health and Medical History forms now include text expansion buttons on all text fields, giving clinicians more space and flexibility when entering detailed notes.

Accounting Enhancements

  • When creating Journal Posting Templates, Gensolve now validates that total amounts must balance to $0.00, ensuring cleaner accounting entries.
  • Xero Export API now supports higher volume constraints to align with recent Xero changes.

Insurer Schedule Emailing: More Control, Less Clicks

Emailing schedule invoices just got easier:

  • A new option now lets you restrict email templates by type, giving you better control over template use and formatting.
  • From the Existing Schedules view, simply select the schedules you’d like to send and click “Email Invoices”. Gensolve will generate one email per insurer, with separate attachments for each invoice.Insurer Schedule Emailing: More Control, Less Clicks

Contract Updates

  • You can now apply expiry dates to Contract Budgets, available for Budget Group – Hours and Budget Group – Value types.
  • You can now create and view Contract Charges directly from the Client Full History screen, speeding up workflows and reducing navigation time.

Emailing Made Easier

You can now drag and drop attachments directly into emails, making document management smoother and faster, no need to search through file directories.

API Enhancements

This release includes several improvements for developers and integration partners.

Appointment status updates now support additional values, including Confirmed, Arrived, and With Provider, giving external systems greater flexibility when managing appointments programmatically.

A new capability has been added to retrieve conditions updated within a specific date range, with additional filters for insurer and appointment validity.

The ReadCodeList field is now available when retrieving condition data, offering more structured information for clinical integrations.
